Alone in your room, with the thoughts racing through your head. Thoughts of life, love, memories. Thoughts you do not want to be trusted with alone. They make you cry, they make you cut, they make you scream, they make you drink, they make you hurt. You don’t like these thoughts. So you call the girl you met last night and the night alone turns into a sex-filled room with Vodka on the dresser and dirty clothes on the floor and for that moment you aren’t left with the memories. Or you stay with the man who doesn’t make you happy and doesn’t understand your needs because you think it’s better to be with him than be alone. How can you be fulfilled in a relationship when you aren’t able to be by yourself and LOVE yourself? Feeling down? Read Psalms 25:16-17 and Jeremiah 29:11 for encouragement.
Psalms 25: 16-17 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; I am lonely and afflicted. The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distress.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
True happiness doesn’t come from your partner. Where do you think it comes from?
